Just had an idea, and maybe I’ll be able to post on it tomorrow. But I’ve been thinking about the theme of productive people bearing responsibility for their own predicament. It’s not just a matter of remaining productive in the face of decreasing liberty, but also the continuation of friendship and other presumptions of good faith with those who believe shackling the productive is moral. On the one hand the response this fact calls for could be very effective and demand less material sacrifice than a job action; but on the other, the sacrifice of existing relationships might be hard to bear.
