Going from a chef to what I do now is tough to describe, but Mrs. Rand changed my life for the better almost a decade ago. From one producer to another, I wish you the best. Though I must say, that what I've developed could bring this country out of debt and increase the standard of living for anyone who uses electricity. Too bad that it would be seized and they'd leave me to be chained to it. I declared my self-ownership in 1996 and have refused to support the parasitic system run by the looters and the moochers ever since. I was of all things, a tax accountant when I started questioning authority. After researching tax law, I came to the realization that the individual income tax is wholly unconstitutional and legally indefensible (by the government) based on written Supreme Court decisions and the 13th Amendment. The corporate tax, though a legal excise tax, is so onerous that it discourages small businesses from growing and should be illegal. I dropped my C.P.A. license which automatically made me an enrolled agent of the IRS and became an independent accountant able to work for my clients' best interests rather than the federal government's interests. In 2001 I set up a website DeTaxUS.com and tried to convince people that they could regain their freedom just by invoking their right to say, "No more! The federal government has no claim on me, my labor, or the fruits of my labor, and I refuse to submit to its abuse of power any longer." From that moment on, I became free to run my own life, make my own decisions, and pursue my own happiness. I kept the site running for three years with a monthly newsletter and onsite articles, but I had not tried blogging. Perhaps I'll put the website back online one of these days with a blog--a moderated blog to screen out the profane and counterproductive. For now I belong to a bunch of libertarian organizations and forums and am trying to build an online marketing business. If I can be of help, contact me. This site is full of childish obscenities and comments and has no adult supervision. It is a great shame that a good idea such as "going john galt" is being hosted by your site and not moderated by an adult. You should be deleting these worthless and childish comments to keep the integrity of the site. I agree "we don't need you" as we will go elsewhere for support of this effort.
