Also, while I’ve got some attention, let me mention the recent site of early commenter “Jason – 1″, who’s trying to get an actual strike going for next April at http://www.notdependent.com. He’s really looking to take some action now (unlike myself — my estimate is about ten years before we hit a point of no return, so I’m not in a huge rush yet).

Does “going Galt” require being in the top 1% or 5% of your field, or just hating Democratic presidents?
Which one of these things does “going Galt” require?
a) being in the top 1% of one’s field using objective, verifiable metrics
b) being in the top 5% of one’s field using objective, verifiable metrics
c) knowing you’re better than all those icky poo people who keep getting promoted over you
d) hating taxes but loving using gov’t services
e) hating Democratic presidents
Isn’t a strike something used by labor unions when they want oh… say.. a weekend, healthcare and an end to child labor?

i’d go john galt but i’m unemployed and currently provide no value to society.
